Early in November the people of America decided that they want Barack Obama as their 44th President. Just by this achievement he has reached the history books as the first multicultural male to be elected President. He won by a clear majority and this fact proves that America is ready for a real change.
Through out the election campaign Obama used the slogan “We want change”, and the question everyone will be asking until he takes his new position in January is: Will he bring the great changes to the country that everyone’s expecting? History has proved that living up to expectations is hard, but it is not impossible. Obama’s views on political issues differs a lot from President Bush’s and in that sense change will come from day one with Obama in office. However one man can not change the world or even a whole country, he can only make changes that push matters in one direction. Many people might be disappointed with his work because as every other politician he has made many promises that can be difficult to keep. The thing is though that he grew up in Chicago and through his political career so far he has proved to be a fresh breath of air in US politics.
It does not matter how much Obama actually changes as long as he stays loyal to his people and country, and acts in their best interests in the years to come.
