US foreign policy in the future

The last few years the US has emphasised an aggressive foreign policy. As a result there are wars going on in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the relationship between the US and the rest of the world is tens. The ocean between America and Europe seems to have widened as a cold barrier between the continents. As a worldwide financial crisis is developing, every country’s economy relies on corporation with other countries. It seems natural for the US to look to the EU and Europe for support in such a situation. In this case they have to change their foreign policies dramatically. Firstly they have to put diplomacy on the agenda. Diplomacy should be a number one priority in every government, also in the US, because one never knows when allies could come in handy. Issues such as world economy are unstable even if it has been stable for some time, and the same can be said about relationships between countries. Conflicts can be prevented through diplomacy, and war should be a last solution when there are no other options.
